If You Have Therapy Today
If You Have Therapy Today
Somewhere, across the country,
a chair is being straightened.
A lamp turned on.
A notebook opened.
A deep breath taken.
Therapists are settling in—
coffee cooling,
hearts open,
ready for whatever you bring.
They’ve read the news too.
They feel the weight in the air.
But today,
they are showing up
for you.
To hold space
for what hurts,
for what heals,
for the tangled grey area,
where most of us live.
You might walk in with grief,
or joy,
or nothing you can name—
and still,
you’ll be met with warmth.
So go.
Say the thing.
Cry if you need.
Laugh if you can.
Be exactly who you are
for that one hour.
Walk in with your dreams,
or your dread.
For all those who have therapy today;
this hour is yours.
